The position of 2nd Line IT Support Engineer will be welcomed into a positive team environment, based from our head office in Lacock, Chippenham, Wiltshire with flexible working from home available.

Main Duties
  • Provide ongoing support to the 1st Line Team to help upskill and improve knowledge
  • Ensure all knowledge base documentation is accurate and up to date
  • To support and maintain Microsoft Server/ Desktops and Azure Cloud environments
  • Resolve customer issues within the agreed SLAs
  • Escalate issues to the 3rd Line Support Team where necessary
  • Undertake IT project work as instructed by the Projects Team
  • Comply with all relevant legislative and legal requirements, including industry regulations
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Exceptional customer service skills and telephone manner
  • 3 years’ experience working on a service desk
  • Working with 3rd party software/solution providers
  • Desktop & Server experience
  • Familiarity with laptop and desktop builds
  • Active Directory Administration (passwords, users, groups, permissions)
  • Azure Active Directory Administration (Modern Workplace Administration)
  • Office 365 Administration including SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive etc
  • Wireless configuration and management
  • Experience with Managed Switches (vlans)
  • Firewall & router configuration, upgrades and management
Qualifications
 No formal qualifications are required but it is important that you have some relevant technical skills and experience.

Notes
37.5 hours a week Mon-Fri. Due to the nature of the job some occasional work at weekends and outside of normal hours may be required. 
Travel to customer sites may be required so the ability to travel as and when required needs to be considered.

This role requires a DBS and BPSS security checks.
